Music has traveled from 8 tracks to cassettes to CD's to MP3's.
Movies from the theater, to home, via VHS to DVD and now Blu-Ray.
Cameras from film that had to be developed to Polaroids that appeared magically to digital cameras.
Microwaves were new. So were computers and the internet. Cable TV. Cell phones...for that matter, cordless phones. Video games have matured from Pong to Wii and X-Box.
I'm sure there have been many other new and improved I haven't thought of at this moment. Technology has taken giant leaps and bounds.
Oh, I almost forgot...a man walked on the moon.
