Directed advertising

If you have not discovered directed advertising, you either spend very little time online, or you haven't been paying attention. I can't explain how it works, but basically what happens is, you search for something online, then for weeks advertising pops up all over the web for that item. I have been looking at watches, I want a skeleton watch, so everywhere I go there are watches. Unfortunately, for these stalkerish companies, I don't click links, for fear of doom and ruination raining down on my computer. But it does make me wonder what I could search for that would make the advertisements more interesting or the scenery more...stimulating.

Let it never be said that I don't do my research. I set my search to photos, and tried; firemen...eh, marines...nay, body builders....um, gross, men's bikini...nope, men's swim trunks...closer, but still a lot of misses. Add to the list of na-ahs: surfer, men's shorts, sports, tattoos. Searching for sexy men seemed like cheating, but it still brought up stuff I just don't want to see all over my PC.

Maybe I'm getting old.

Maybe I need to switch gears.

Ah, there you go,

can't go wrong with...

BEACH!
